2010 US Open Results : Golf Tournament Results - Graeme McDowell, who led the field after two rounds of play at Pebble Beach, secured his first major championship this evening with an even par score of 284 in the 2010 US Open. McDowell, a Northern Ireland native, became the sixth non-American player to win the tournament in the last 10 years.

McDowell’s dad was there to see him with the US Open championship on Father’s Day, which seemed to make it extra special. McDowell was able to hold off Dustin Johnson who fell apart today and Phil Mickelson.
The tournament appeared to be in Johnson's hands heading into today's action, but a triple bogey on hole two followed by a double bogey on hole three by the South Carolina product moved McDowell to the top of the leaderboard and he never relinquished his lead.
Ernie Els also wasn’t able to pull it off today. Both Mickelson and Els elected not to interview after the tournament was over. Presumably they were upset over the loss.
Ernie Els, who finished with a two over par 286, looked as though he might make a move early, but his game faded on the back nine where he had one double bogey and three bogeys.
