Ghana, for their part, progressed to the knockout stages in the second place of the Group D, whith four points, two points behind Germany. In their first clash, Ghana won Serbia 1-0. After, Ghana drew with Australia 1-1 and, finally, in their last round, Ghana lost against Germany 0-1.
