Hundreds of fans began camping in a "tent city" as early as Monday morning to get wristbands for the black carpet, snag autographs and snap photos with stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
Stephenie Meyer, the author of the series, who has been keeping a somewhat lower-profile lately, showed up to walk to black carpet and soak in the success of the series.
The movie opens in theaters June 30, and scripts are in the works for more "Twilight" movies.

It was fun to watch the live streaming of the premier tonight. Rob looked particularly hot it burgandy Gucci. Kristen looked edgy in a white asymmetrical dress. I hope the critics finally are able to see what the fans see in these movies, a fantastic love story well told and beautifully acted.
